First sessions are an opportunity to get to know you, discuss what your concerns are, and goals you have for yourself. It’s okay to ask your therapist questions. This is your time and we want you to get the most out of it. Subsequent sessions focus on ways to meet those goals.

While having safe people to talk to is invaluable, it isn’t a substitute. Therapists are not paid friends. Our therapists are highly trained individuals with thousands of hours of education and experience using evidenced-based techniques that help people with anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, and other mental health concerns. We will teach you specific skills and education to help you feel better.

Most sessions will be around 50-60 minutes. Many clients will initially meet with their therapist weekly for about 6 months to a year, spacing sessions further apart as they start to feel progress in their life. We can’t guarantee how long you will need therapy or your individual results. We do believe in tailoring therapy to your specific needs, however short or long that is.
